I can’t believe it’s nearly 10 years since we started planning our microbrewery. Thought it was about time to have a little review of how far we’ve come!
Ooh new beer! We just love it when a plan comes together. Spring is coming, the nights are getting lighter and so is the beer! We know a lot of pubs that want beer on their bar on or below 4.0% because that’s what their customers ask for and even though Alain’s magic number is 4.5%, we’re happy to oblige. When we started brewing, we decided that one of the main things people wanted to know was simply what colour the beer on the bar was; we know lots of pubs put samples into jam jars or glasses next to the pumps so that the customer gets an idea of the type of beer it is.
oo hoo! New kit, new premises and a new website. We’re living in interesting times. We set up the Carlisle Brewing Co in 2013 as a diversification project for our freehouse, The Spinners Arms in Cummersdale with added bonus of it being something we could really get our teeth into and enjoy.
